Oak Wood Carpeted Pet Stairs 
Made in the USA! These Raised Panel wooden dog steps are hand crafted in Dallas, TX. Featuring recessed carpet treads (for a non-slip surface) and raised panels.
NOTE: The back panel is not structural. It is used to close the opening so pets can not hide in the stairs. The back normally rests up against a bed or sofa so it is not visible. The back panel is made of press board like a lot of every day furniture.
Red Oak boards from the Appalachian mountains are carefully hand selected for your decorative dog steps. The oak wood is kiln dried to 6% moisture content which virtually eliminates warping and cracking. During the assembly process the corners are reinforced and braced to prevent twisting during use or moving. In fact, these steps have been tested to support up to 300 lbs!
If the carpet ever becomes worn, you can replace it! Or, if you want to match the carpet in your home and have a matching remnant available, use that carpet to customize the look!
After sanding and assembly, your wood dog steps are stained and then finished with 2 coats of non-toxic, clear satin finish. The decorative pet steps arrive completely assembled.
About the Stain: The Early American stain is the most consistent. The color of the Cherry and Walnut can very based on the cut of the wood. Some boards take the stain better than others. The Cherry can have purplish tones and the Walnut can be lighter or a little darker than pictured.

The Carpet Color is subject to change based on availability.
The wood shop has been using the same carpet now for the last 4 years (2020-2024). The carpet is called "Prancer - Woodland - Beige" and is purchased from Home Depot so you are able to view the carpet in person prior to your purchase if you want to make certain it is a color you will like. Below is a color swatch taken from the Home Depot website.
Varigated carpet is the best at hiding stains.
